§ 36.020. ESTABLISHED.

  • In accordance with I.C. 10-14-3-17(b), there is established a Cass County Emergency Management Advisory Council which shall consist of the following:
    (A) The President of Cass County Commissioners or his or her designee;
    (B) The President of Cass County Council or his or her designee;
    (C) The Mayor of the City of Logansport or his or her designee;
    (D) An individual representing the legislative bodies of all towns located within Cass County;
    (E) An individual of the Cass County Sheriff’s Department as recommended by the Sheriff, Cass County, Indiana;
    (F) An individual representing either the Logansport Fire or Logansport Police Department, to be recommended by the Mayor, City of Logansport, Indiana;
    (G) An individual being the member of the Cass County Emergency Ambulance Service to be recommended by the Cass County Emergency ambulance Service Board of Directors;
    (H) An individual to be appointed representing each of northeast, southeast, southwest and northwest quadrants of the different Fire Departments, such co-ordinance to be determined by using the Cass County Government Building as the center of the County. These members shall be appointed by the Cass County Commissioner.
    (I) Two individuals shall be members at large, 1 individual to be appointed by the Cass County Commissioners and 1 individual to be recommended by the Cass County Council.
    (J) The Advisory Council shall have a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Recording Secretary and Vice Recording Secretary.
